Update

I know I am really bad at updating my blog but things have been pretty busy. Every minute Jared had off we went house hunting and finally we found one. A darling little home in Saratoga Springs. We should be closing by the end of November. We can not wait. Also, the same day we found our house we found out that I was pregnant with our second child. We feel so blessed to have so many wonderful things happening to us.

Baby number two due June 11th

Halloween

Liam was a chicken this year for Halloween. He was adorable and he loved it. When we first put his costume on he couldn't stop makng the chicken noise. Jared's family came to our house this year. Grandma Smith took Liam trick or treating at the ward trunk or treat which he really enjoyed then we went to my cousins house for a party. Unfortunately Jared had to work that is why he is not in any of the pictures.

Liam's favorites

Liam grows and changes so quickly so I wanted to post some of his favorite things.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Liam is obsessed with anything that has wheels and makes a noise. He gets so excited when he sees any of them. When he sees or hears a plane he says "me" which is his word for plane and points to the sky then makes the plane noise and moves his hand. He also loves when he sees a motorcycle and he is getting really good at saying it.

Swings

When we got to the park all liam wants to do is swing. It brings him pure joy. If we even suggest doing something else or leaving he gives us a look.

Animals

Liam loves animals he can make all the sounds and say many of the names. His recent favorites are the dolphin and the whale. We took him to a little farm at Thanksgiving Point where he actually rode a pony he loved it!

An update with pictures

We got a new camera so now I have new pics on my computer. It has been a great summer so many things have happened. Here is a little recap of what we have been doing since we have been in utah.

Hogle Zoo

We went to Hogle zoo recently. Liam has been to a zoo before but now he knows all the animals and the sounds they make. Liam loved all the animals especially the elephant and the monkeys. He makes the elephant noise by lifting his arm and making a high pitched noise. It was a very fun day at the zoo.

Pharmacist Jared

Jared passed both his tests and is now an official licensed Pharmacist. We are so happy. He works a lot but when he is off he gets to spend all of his time with us. To celebrate Liam and I made him a lovely sign. Liam had a lot of fun with the markers.

Reunions

We had a family reunion in Parowan and in Escalante this summer. We went swimming in Mom and Kev's new pool which liam loved. Also, Liam is obsessed with four wheelers and lawn mowers he could ride them all day.

San Diego

We went to San Diego for the Goldston family reunion (Jared's mom's side). We had a lot of fun. I didn't take very many pictures because Liam was very clingy but we got some good pics at the beach. Liam loved the ocean and playing in the waves just like his mama.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

This was a fantastic experience. The temple is so beautiful and Liam did really well. I am so happy that we are now so close to so many temples.

Bees Game

This was Liam's second baseball game. We also took him to a Diamondbacks game in Arizona. He did really well and seemed to have a great time.

Packing, graduation, moving and more

I haven't posted for a while things have been pretty busy. Here is a quick update. I will add pictures when I find where I packed the chord that connects our camera to the computer. Jared graduated with a PHD in Pharmacy. He now insits that we all call him Dr. Smith. Actually he is really humble about it more humble than I would be. It is me who is insists we call him Dr. Smith. I am really proud of him. We haven't really got to celebrate or breath. After graduation we moved to Provo, UT. We are here now trying to get settled which has been hard because we have been traveling a lot for weddings and holidays and our apartment has been under construction. It is going to continue to be a busy summer with two family reunions but we will get settled eventually. I am so excited to start visitng all my family and friends that are so close now!!! Jared started work at Wal Greens about a week ago.The day before he started his store got held up at gun point. Nothing says welcome to Wal Greens like a gunman seeking oxycodone. Other than that things are going well for him. Liam is growing and learning so much.He understands everything we say to him and he is saying new words all the time.He knows almost all the farm animal sounds and is getting good at signing. His favorite signs are please and thank you. He is also becoming more independent and strong willed. He has mastered the glare. He is hilarious and so much fun. Although things have been crazy we have had a good time and feel really blessed to be done with school and here in utah.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY LIAM!

Liam turned one year old Saturday May 16TH. I can not believe it. It has been the best year of our lives. Happy birthday my sweet boy I am so thankful you were born. Here is Liam on the morning of his birthday. I gave him a little sample of his birthday cup cakes.

The cake

This is my first attempt at a birthday cake and I would say it turned out great. Jared and I worked hard. It was a lot of fun.

Cake and Presents

When we gave liam a piece of the cake he started just squashing it in his hands. I wasn't sure if he was going to eat it but then he started shoveling it in his mouth and saying Mmmm Mmmm.It was adorable. Liam also had a great time opening presents. He loved ripping the paper.

We love weddings!

Jared, Liam and I recently went to Nevada for the wedding of Jared's brother Steve to Amanda. It was so much fun. Here are some pics from the wedding.

Fun with the smith's

Congrats Cass!

Liam and Cadie took a trip to Utah for Cassidy's graduation; we had so much fun. Cass is a graduate of Utah State University with a double major in Speech Pathology and Anthropology. That is a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts. Can you tell I am a little proud of her? She is amazing!!!

He walks

Liam took his first steps right after he turned 10 months. He started actually walking about a week before he was 11 months. He started out really slow and crawling half the time but now all he does is walk and he is getting really fast. He also just learned to get up by himself. Here he is with a balloon one of his favorite things.

Mommy's helper

Liam loves cleaning supplies such as vacums and brooms. Whenever I sweep or vacum he has to help.

Brushes

Liam is obsessed with brushes: tooth brushes, scrub brushes and blush brushes. He loves rubbing them all over everything. Here he is helping cassidy with her makeup.

Tana and Bronson gave Liam the cutest outfit for St. Patrick's Day so of coarse I have to post pictures. Thanks Tana and Bronson.

Cassidy came to visit us in Arizona during her spring break. We went on a hike and Liam loved it. He even took a little nap during part of it. Here are a few pictures of our hike. Thanks Cass for spending your spring break with us!
